The 1964 Wilderness Act
The language of the 1964 Wilderness Act suggests that Wilderness areas are
set aside to remain pristine. These are areas where man should be a
visitor and not a permanent resident. Why then should cattle be allowed
to graze in Wilderness areas? Cattle don't belong here. They trample and
eat the native flora, they outcompete the native fauna and the crap
everywhere.
